About Faith Lutheran Church and Preschool

Our Mission:
To know Christ and to make Him known by word and deed in our Church, community, and world.

History:
Faith Lutheran Church was founded in 1940 by six families who purchased our current site on the corner of Fair Oaks Boulevard and San Juan Avenue. The first service was held on November 10, 1940. The current sanctuary was dedicated in 1962 with the current multi-purpose building dedicated in 1976. The church has secured additional adjacent land and property over the years as well.

Faith Lutheran Church is a place where all generations gather around God's living and active Word to share life together!

What We Believe:
As a congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod we accept and preach the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. The teaching of Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three phrases: Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Scripture Alone.

  1. Grace Alone: God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
  2. Faith Alone: By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
  3. Scripture Alone: The Bible is God's Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine.
