“Your Light Remains Our Song"

We’re ea-ger for the Last Day—
the End of strife and war—
to see Your Son’s bright ar-ray
shin-ing for e-ver-more!
But in dark times of tri-al,
we won-der where You are;
You say “a lit-tle whi-le…”
yet God, Light seems a-far.

Your Word says night is end-ing;
our dawn will be here soon.
And so by faith, as-cend-ing,
we sing a hope-ful tune!
And if the dark-ness fright-ens
with guilt, grief, shame, or pain,
Your ra-diant Star it bright-ens
to help us sing a-gain.

Shad-ows may hem in o’er us
but nev-er con-quer You;
You are God, with and for us,
there-fore we con-quer, too.
The e-vils of our wor-ld,
shall not last for so long;
for Light, You once un-furled—
and Light re-mains our song!
